L7805CV +5V 1.5A Voltage Regulator

Provides local on-card regulation, eliminating the distribution problems associated with single point regulation. It employs internal current limiting, thermal shutdown and safe area protection, making it essentially indestructible. If adequate heat sinking is provided, it can deliver over 1A output current. Primarily as fixed voltage regulator. Can be used with external components to obtain adjustable voltages and currents.
