Product Description
VU Meter Kit (Log/Linear)
The MitchElectronics VU Meter kit, as the name suggests, is a VU meter that shows the size of a voltage as an LED bar. These are often seen in music equipment, whereby the relative amplitude of an audio source can quickly be seen, but they can be used in other applications including battery chargers and generic sensor readings.

Applications
The VU Meter can be used in numerous applications thanks to its ability to be easily added to other projects. The most common project to use the VU meter in is anything audio related, and this would require the kit to be built with the logarithmic resistor values. For applications that involves linear signals, the VU meter can be built with the linear resistor values, and this can be used for sensor readings, battery charge levels, and so much more. Furthermore, the use of comparators, resistor ladders, and potentiometers makes this kit excellent for education, including GCSE and A-Level qualifications.
