Simple Power Module SMD Trainer Kit
Simple Power Module SMD Trainer Kit
The Simple Power Module by MitchElectronics is a power module made entirely with SMD components, and the goal of this kit is to help teach SMD soldering. RoHS and REACH compliant, ideal for classrooms and workshops, and superb for beginners looking to improve their soldering skills!
This kit is part of the SMD Trainer range that only uses SMD parts to test out your soldering skills. This kit provides all the parts needed to create a dual power supply that provides 5V and 3.3V for use in other projects, and each power output is fused for added protection. Before making this kit, be sure to read our SMD soldering guide found in our resources page, and pay extra attention when positioning components because de-soldering SMD parts can be extremely challenging.

Applications
The Simple Power Module kit is ideal for providing regulated power to a breadboard, and the dual 5V/3.3V output makes it applicable where mixed power rail voltages are needed. This is especially true for newer devices such as the ESP32 and Raspberry Pi Pico devices which solely run from. 3.3V. The small size of this module also makes it ideal for use in drones and other small devices that need a regulated power source. Finally, this kit is excellent for those learning to practice how to solder.
Notes
Note that product specifics such as output frequency depend on the tolerance of the components. The numbers provided here are an approximation only.
All parts sold by MitchElectronics are compliant with RoHS and REACH directives which ensure that they can be used in commercial environments as well as complying with environmental laws.
