Product Description

The 4017 Light Chaser SMD Trainer by MitchElectronics is a light chaser made entirely with SMD components, and the goal of this kit is to help teach SMD soldering. RoHS and REACH compliant, ideal for classrooms and workshops, and superb for beginners looking to improve their soldering skills!

This kit is part of the SMD Trainer range that only uses SMD parts to test out your soldering skills. This kit provides all the parts needed to create the famous 4017 light chaser circuit that shows a light moving across a line, and the speed of the moving light is controlled via the SMD potentiometer. Before making this kit, be sure to read our SMD soldering guide found in our resources page, and pay extra attention when positioning components because de-soldering SMD parts can be extremely challenging.
